The Warf on Derry Street is $4.00 per shot for Jameson’s, go figure.

So, we popped into this Arooga’s in Hummlestown for a quick drink after a shopping trip.

Arooga's also offers tablets for trivia and/or children's entertainment. The children's menu and setup for the children is second to none too.

And yes, we are local folk not holiday people you can rip off Arooga’s.

Imagine my dismay when the bill was $37.50 for the drinks! The shot of Jameson was $8.50 each.

We stayed a while and had 3 whiskeys and 2 glasses of wine and asked for the check.

Now, I understand that a bar has to make money but $136 for a bottle of Jameson’s, total rip off.

I asked for Myers Rum but they only had Goslings cheap dark rum. 2nd selection was a straight up Jameson Whiskey with a glass of water and a glass of really cheap red wine for my wife.

Arooga's makes sure there are many televisions available with all selections of sports. This Hershey/Hummelstown location is a open dining room with all walls lined with televisions. The booths along the wall also get their own small screens.

At no time did the barmaid mention price nor are they displayed on the bar menu or even on-line.

We always enjoy Arooga's. They have a broad selection of adult beverages. They have interesting monthly specials. There is a very unique menu with choices you would expect at 'upscale' restaurants while remaining true to their wing joint & bar foundation.

Went on 12/21/17 at 6pm to eat dinner with my son that I haven't seen in awhile. After sitting for 20 minutes asked the guy beside us if he was waited on yet he said no. About 5 minutes later the waitress came to take his drink order I said can we order she said I'll be right back. Waited another 15 minutes told the guy beside us good luck cuz he still didn't have his drink. So my son and I had to settle for McDonalds.

If you want a drink, go to a decent hotel bar, it will be far better ambience and cheaper.

Great menu. Service was outstanding. If in the area again will definitely return. Highly recommend.

Questioned the price with bar maid and was told it was correct.

Even at Hotel Hershey they don’t charge that price, so I asked why a cheap crappy sports bar can be so expensive. The answer, “that’s our price”!

Very pleased with the food and the service. Our waitress Jess was very pleasant, professional, and attentive. It was our first time at Arooga’s, and she provided an overview of the menu, and answered all of our questions. We had a few special requests, and she was happy to accommodate, and our order was perfect. She really seemed to enjoy her job. Good diverse menu, with unique items, but not too strange. The burgers were perfect - good beef, and it tasted fresh. Stromboli was pretty awesome. Apple walnut cranberry salad was top notch. Dipping sauces for the apps were very good. We usually avoid chain restaurants, but this is a local “chain”, and we can see why they are successful. We were there Black Friday around 2pm. Not crowded.

The shot was allegedly 1 1/4 oz shots, that is 16 shots per bottle.
